NPR Program "Birding in America"

BIRDING IN AMERICA aired on WBUR-Boston's "On Point" show on Thursday, November 29th. Interviewed were authors Scott Weidensaul and Kenn Kaufman.

The show is 46 minutes long, you'll be able to listen to it on realPlayer or any media player.  Great listening.

I LOVE Scott's point illustrating just how tiny some of our migrating birds are.  He points out that two birds could be put in an envelope and mailed with a 41 cent stamp.

He gives a passionate call to action to put our "money and voices and votes and passion" toward protecting the habitats necessary for the birds that "add color and life to our daily existence".

Thanks to John H. of the Hudson-Mohawk Birds Yahoo!Group for sharing.
