I don't do a whole lot to fancy up my yard, it's really a mish-mash of stuff I did years ago plus volunteers that have stepped in during my 9-year absence. (Everything in my life is categorized pre-store or post-store; my yard, gardens and greenhouse are a pre-store casualty). But I still enjoy a little walk around the yard now and then, especially on a beautiful spring day.
Candytuft in myrtle with a little wild strawberry and hardy geranium on the side.
Blue Flax - one of my favorites. Flowers bloom each day and are gone by the end of the day.

Early in a Blue Lupine's bloom
My "lawn" is about 60% Creeping Thyme. My goal is eventually 100%. Great to walk on and smell the thyme!
I love the look and feel of the new growth on conifers like this Blue Spruce
New growth shoots on White Pines are called "candles"
This pine's new growth wears a cap until it grows to big to wear it
Fritillary on last season's leaf
I always see smiley faces in my Johnny Jump-ups!
Katy, my yard is quite a mess sometimes, but wildlife is welcome since there's usually something blooming and no chemicals. I've planted things in the 20+ years I've been here that have come and gone and some I just can't remember what it is!! Thanks for stopping by.

How lovely those flowers are! Your garden must be a garden paradise, full of flowers, butterflies, and bees! Can you still remember how many kinds of flowers you have in your garden? I hope to see more from your garden.

Elizaveta, oh my, you make my yard sound more beautiful than it really is! But regardless, I appreciate your very nice comment.
Stay tuned, I have a late spring walk through my yard post coming up in a week or two. Thanks again for your really nice words.

Wow! That’s one healthy garden you have there, Nancy. By the looks of those flowers, one can definitely tell the amount of time and effort spent on them. Walking around your garden on the first day of spring is truly an amazing feeling. Like an artist viewing his own gallery, you are also taking a look at your masterpiece. Seeing your garden alive, healthy, and blooming is definitely a big accomplishment. Nice work, Nancy! I look forward to seeing more from your beautiful garden.
