Bobbie - thanks much and thanks for visiting!

Thanks for these wonderful examples of digiscoping. Most interesting.

Con Daily - thanks! It's nice when you catch that gleam in their eye, isn't it?
Mon@rch - haven't seen since but they've nested nearby before. Hope they do again!

You are still seeing these guys??? How cool and maybe they are nesting in the area!

Nice photos of these birds. I like the 2nd photo with the bird's eye to the sky.

Aunt B - thanks much. I'm lucky to see both grosbeaks, though the rose-breasted is much more regular.
I haven't seen my visitor for a few nights, though there's nothing around here for him anymore.

Good Morning! I must say it's just wonderful to see the Evening Grosbeak! It's so colorful. I only see the Rose-Breasted variety.
My night-time visitor was in again last night. I love to see him...only a young one this time.
Great info you supply on your blog!!

ATTENTION

  • Our eyes and ears should be open and alert to the natural wonders that surround us every day. Take time to look out our windows to see the birds that visit us and open our windows to hear them. Walk around whatever space we have to enjoy the birds in nature. Every day, work on improving our powers of observation.

ACCEPTANCE

  • Nature happens. We cannot MAKE natural things happen (or NOT happen). We can create habitats to encourage natural things to happen around us, but there are no guarantees.

RESPONSIBILITY

  • Birdfeeding comes with responsibilities to the birds and the environment we share with them. If you are unwilling to accept these responsibilities, you shouldn’t feed the birds. We also have a responsibility to share these natural wonders with the next generation.
