MY BACKYARD HABITAT

- 2+ acre wooded lot in the Adirondack foothills of upstate New York
- Elevation 1,300 feet
- Rural setting
- Yard List: 88 species

SHELTER PROVIDED
- 2 acres mixed deciduous/coniferous forest (spruce, hemlock, balsam, poplar, cherry, birch, beech) includes 1 acre wooded ravine
- Limited "lawn" area (1200 sq ft)
- No pesticide or fertilizer use
- Numerous brush piles including old Christmas trees
- Fruit bearing vegetation: Mountain ash, sumac, holly, rosa rugosa, bittersweet, dogwood, junipers, crabapples
